Below you’ll find a checklist of things you 和 your family can do to begin reaching your college goals!

  • Attend a virtual Paying for College presentation
    It’s helpful to have knowledge of financial aid when you’re trying to navigate your first time in college or the start to your next child’s college journey. Financial aid information changes regularly, 和 OU is committed to keeping you informed about this important information.
  • 检查 available scholarships 和 grants for 新生转学. OU automatically awards merit scholarships in 本科 Admissions 和 need-based grants in Student Financial Services to every student who qualifies. 检查 金色的保证, which offers FREE TUITION to eligible incoming Michigan freshmen. 
  • Check out the OU Annual Scholarships. These scholarships are offered on a limited basis through OU academic 和 student service departments. Browse through the scholarships offered to see what you might be eligible to apply for when you’re admitted!
  • Learn about applying for financial aid
    The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is your first step in applying for financial aid 和 you can start the process now! This page will help you learn about the process from start to finish. 
  • Use the 净价计算器
    The 净价计算器 will collect some general information from you so we can provide an estimate of your Cost of Attendance (an estimate of billable 和 non-billable items so we know how much financial aid you need) 和 give you an estimate of some of the financial aid you’ll be eligible for at OU!
  • Get help filing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    You’ll complete a FAFSA for the first time in your senior year of high school, but even if you’re a transfer student who has completed a FAFSA before, it’s ok to need some help! We’re here to provide you with assistance as you complete your FAFSA. Join a virtual workshop to get help!
  • Create your MiSSG student portal with the State of Michigan
    If you’re a resident of the State of Michigan, create your MiSSG student portal after your first FAFSA has been processed (about a week after submission). Review 和 apply for additional scholarships from the state. 
  • Once you’re admitted, head over to find your next steps at the Admitted 和 Currently Enrolled 本科 Students section.
